Privacy policy

Last updated 21 October 2026

gohanSim is a farming game for iPhone made by Startup UI. This policy covers the app and this website, gohansim.com.

In shortgohanSim collects no personal data. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking.

What stays on your iPhone

Your farm, your farmer, your settings and your progress are saved on your iPhone. They go wherever your phone's own backups go, under Apple's terms. We never receive them.

What the app downloads

To play on real weather and prices, the app downloads public data:

weather observations and forecasts from the Japan Meteorological Agency's website (jma.go.jp)
a daily file with yesterday's weather, this week's rice price and the yen rate from our server (gohansim-live.joseph-9d7.workers.dev, run on Cloudflare)

These requests carry nothing about you. As with any website, the servers see your device's IP address so they can send the data back. We don't keep it or link it to you.

Playing with friends

Nearby play finds friends on the same Wi-Fi through your local network. Online play uses Apple's Game Center, under Apple's privacy policy. Only the state of the farm you share passes between your phones. There's no chat.

Purchases

Apple handles every purchase. We never see your payment details or your Apple Account.

Children

gohanSim is rated 4+. It collects nothing from anyone, children included.

This website

gohansim.com has no cookies, analytics or ads. It loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so Google sees that request, under Google's privacy policy. It reads the same daily data file as the app.
